Ljubljana Tourism

Vibrant. Vivid. #VisitLjubljana

Ljubljana is a compact, walking city, often depicted as a welcoming lounge by conference delegates, incentive attendees and other visitors. It features a wealth of history, style, arts and culture, and an atmosphere that is both Central European and Mediterranean.

Easily accessible, within two hours’ flight from the major European hubs, Ljubljana provides an array of meeting facilities that can welcome up to 2,200 delegates, encompassing two congress centres, convention and seminar hotels, and academic venues. Many are located in the downtown pedestrian area.

It is an ideal point to reach many of Slovenia’s attractions, among which one finds original settings for incentive programmes or outdoor events. With the dedicated support of experienced and creative destination partners, Ljubljana strives to deliver a professional and authentic experience with a strong personal touch and very good value for money!

Ljubljana has implemented a number of measures in the field of sustainable development, including green mobility, waste management and sustainable urban planning. The inner part of the city centre was closed for traffic in 2012 and the residents of Ljubljana increasingly opt for cycling as a means of transport.

The Ljubljana residents are lucky to drink excellent potable water, which is not processed with any technological procedure, and its quality equals the water of the subterranean sources. More than 30 drinking fountains provide free-of-charge refreshment during the warmer months.

The Bicike(LJ) system of bicycle sharing in the city is a free-of-charge and very popular form of transportation. The Copenhagenize Index ranks Ljubljana among the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world.

Among other most prominent “green” sights of Ljubljana are the vast Tivoli Park in the city centre and the unique recreational Trail of Remembrance and Comradeship encircling the city with its 7,000 trees.
