Calm Nest Collective was founded with a clear mission: to create inclusive, sensory-friendly, and sustainable spaces in events and workplaces. The idea stemmed from the firsthand experiences of its founder, Nika, who spent over 11 years in the events industry, wearing many hats – organizer, promoter, and producer. From curating intimate club shows to managing large-scale music festivals, she has navigated the fast-paced, high-pressure world of live events and witnessed the challenges that come with it.
She saw the toll that long hours, high expectations, and constant stress take on artists, crews, and event teams. Artists searching for moments of solitude, crews working tirelessly behind the scenes, and teams operating under relentless pressure often faced burnout, mental fatigue, and sensory overload. The exhilarating highs of the industry were often overshadowed by its emotional and physical demands. Having experienced this firsthand, Nika recognized the urgent need for balance, well-being, and support within events and workplaces.
This realization led to the creation of Calm Nest Spaces®, sensory-friendly sanctuaries designed to provide moments of calm in high-energy environments. These spaces offer attendees, artists, and staff a place to pause, recharge, and regain balance, making events more inclusive and accessible. However, Calm Nest Collective didn’t stop there. The company also provides consulting and training services to help organizations integrate environmental, social, and cultural sustainability into their operations.
