Guests can now try the City Retreat within Castle Walls and the Picnic amidst the Castle Vineyard
Ljubljana Castle has unveiled several innovative products in recent years in connection with the castle’s wine story. This season, the iconic venue has added two new products to the existing offer that include Dinner in the Vineyard, an interactive walk with the mobile app Wisdom about castle vines and wine, an experience guided tour with six culinary stations, and the Culinary Time Machine.
A city retreat within the coarse castle walls
One of the unique products is a three-day romantic experience. It is a combination of the castle’s unique offer, which includes getting to know the castle’s rich history, indulging in the culinary delights of Slovenian cuisine, enjoying a picnic with local delicacies and tasting the castle’s wine in the magical castle vineyard, an overnight stay in the Friderik or Eleonora studio before starting the new day with castle coffee and a croissant in the cafe. The incentive opens up a diverse world of historical, cultural, culinary and entertainment experiences.

Tucked away within the embrace of the imposing Castle, the vineyard invites guests to discover a special culinary and wine experience. On the way to the vineyard and back, guests will learn about the castle’s rich past and the art of Slovenia’s preeminent architect, Jože Plečnik. The experience is ideal for disconnecting in the green oasis above the city, tasting local delicacies and castle wine.
Both products will be available regularly, in favourable weather, on the last Saturday of every month, from May to September.
