Tallinn once again ranked among Europe’s top ten future cities

In the ” European Cities and Regions of the Future 2024″ ranking published by the Financial Times’ fDi Magazine, Tallinn has been placed among the top ten in two categories for European medium-sized cities.

In the subcategories, Tallinn was particularly highly regarded in terms of employment participation rate, education level, knowledge and skills, as well as for the business-friendly entrepreneurship and investment environment, achieving tenth and third place in the rankings, respectively.

The fDi rankings are compiled every two years. Medium-sized cities are considered those with a population of 200,000 to 750,000. Tallinn has been placed among the top 10 cities in various categories since 2012.

The attractiveness of a city or region as a foreign investment destination is evaluated according to economic potential, human capital, cost effectiveness, connectivity and business friendliness based on nearly 90 different statistical indicators. More than 250 cities were assessed in the ranking, which were divided into five categories according to the size of the population.

Awards were presented during the MIPIM international real estate and investment fair in Cannes, where Tallinn has led a joint stand with Estonian companies from real estate development, asset management, and real estate technologies sectors for the twelfth time. Participants in the MIPIM 2024 joint stand include: Port of Tallinn, Invest in Estonia, COBALT Law Firm, Lumi Capital, Fyma, Bisly, Fibenol, TrackDeep, and Spacedrip OÜ.
