The best meeting hotels and convention centres between Venice and Baku, and Helsinki and Istanbul
MEETINGS STAR 2024
As the curtains fell on the Meetings Star award ceremony in Cankarjev dom, another successful season of evaluating destinations, meeting hotels, venues, convention centres and influencers in the meetings industry came to a close.
We are proud that our evaluation system has become a reference point and is considered the Michelin Guide within the meetings industry. This year, 129 destinations from 33 countries were included in the Meetings Star competition, alongside 279 hotels and convention centres from 20 countries of New Europe. Among meeting venues, 124 won three, 103 won two and 52 won one Meetings Star. A further 25 of them received a special Green Meetings Star. Altogether, 32 new hotels and convention centres won the coveted stars this year.

Altogether, 279 certificates were awarded for the 2023/2024 season. Since the start of the evaluation, hidden congress guest evaluators have evaluated 573 hotels and 44 convention centres. Only 45% were awarded the certificate of excellence.
