The only regional meeting of professional event organisers and creative minds, the 9th Conventa Crossover Festival, took place between September 9 and 10 in the Rog creative center in Ljubljana. A part of the festival includes an overview of the best European events that made it to the finals of the “Conventa Best Event Award” competition with this year’s main theme “AUtehnticity or AIthenticity”. Among the finalists in the category of events for final consumers (B2C) are also the projects of the Tourism Bled – the event Luka 2 Bled and Lučke na jezeru 2024.
The Conventa Crossover Festival is in its 9th year running and the Conventa Best Event Award is in its 13th year running. Every year, the festival hosts leading international experts in the field of marketing and event organization with the main goal of exchanging knowledge, examples of good practices and establishing new collaborations.
The best events in Europe, selected by a 23-member international jury, pitched their events as part of the festival. The finalists competed for four main prizes in the B2B, B2C, B2E and Crossover categories, for six special jury prizes. This year, in addition to the winners in the official competition categories, the best Slovenian event were also announced.
Bled finalist: Lučke na jezeru 2024 and Luka 2 Bled
Among the finalists of the Conventa Best Event Award 2024 in the category of events for final consumers (B2C), the international jury also included two events of the Bled Tourism Institute, namely Lučke na jezeru 2024 and Luka 2 Bled.
The lights on Lake Bled represent the highlight of the Bled summer. This year, the traditional event was held for the fifty-second year in a row, and when the lights were turned on, visitors were also treated to a special musical surprise on the water. 10,000 lights in eggshells are made by local resident Andrej Vidic with the help of 40 volunteers.
Last year’s iconic sports event Luka 2 Bled combined sports passion and the natural beauty of Slovenia. It hosted a unique floating basketball court on the surface of Lake Bled, and the center of attention was the presentation of the new sports shoe “Luka 2 Lake Bled”.
