On Monday, September 8, 2025, Bled had the honour of hosting an important Destination Experience visit by representatives of Maritz, one of the world’s leading providers of incentive travel and event management solutions. The visit was part of a joint strategic marketing initiative led by the Slovenian Convention Bureau, the Istria Tourist Board, and Intours DMC, with the support of Turizem Bled.

The delegation was welcomed by representatives of Turizem Bled and the Bled Convention Bureau, who guided the guests through Bled’s most iconic landmarks – the Bled Castle, Bled Island, and Vila Bled. The carefully curated program combined authentic cultural elements, exclusive experiences, and boutique hospitality, showcasing Bled as a truly exceptional setting for incentive travel programs.

The Maritz Destination Experience project is designed to immerse participants in the destination’s most compelling offerings. By blending local culture, luxury services, and surprising “wow moments,” the experience aims to inspire participants with fresh perspectives they can share with clients and colleagues when considering Slovenia and Istria as future incentive destinations.

As highlighted in Maritz’s pre-trip insights, participants were especially interested in discovering high-end hotels, cultural attractions, and unique activities that distinguish Slovenia and Istria from other destinations. Bled’s combination of breathtaking scenery, rich heritage, and world-class services proved to be a perfect showcase of what the region can offer for high-level incentive programs.

Such visits are strategically important for raising international awareness of Bled and Slovenia as emerging boutique destinations for incentive travel. By creating memorable and authentic experiences, Bled strengthens its position on the global incentive map and leaves participants inspired to share its story within their professional networks.
